Brian Doe was born in Ogdensburg, New York, and grew up on the shores of the St. Lawrence River.  From a young age, he recognized his passion for the written word and committed himself to the pursuit of writing.  He received a Bachelor’s Degree in writing from St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York, and a Master’s Degree in secondary education from the State University of New York at Potsdam College.  His first book, BARLEY AND GOLD, was published in July of 2001 and again in 2008 by Cambridge Books.  He recently published a new book entitled THE GRACE NOTE, which is now available through AllThingsThatMatterPress and Amazon.  Visit his website at www.inkslingernotes.com. He received his degree in Political Science from The American University in Washington, D.C. and has worked at every level of government. He is currently employed in special education.
